Safe, whew!
Hall
Mrs. Redly, I wonder if she is available.
a tab, not the pop though! As you open the door Mr. Mar is just leaving. He tells you he will meet you in the kitchen when you are ready. You watch him walk across the hall and continue into the sitting room.
a tab, not the pop though! The sitting room is filled with couches and chairs. Inside are two women. An older woman sits an armchair near the window. She lost in thought, staring out into the night. The other woman is younger, dressed in a blue satin dress. She is reclining on a sofa and smiles at you as you enter.
a tab, not the pop though! "Good evening ladies. I am here at the request of Mr. Mar to look into this unpleasant business with the cook."
a tab, not the pop though! The woman in the blue dress sits up and holds out her hand to you.
a tab, not the pop though! "How nice to meet you, I am Mrs. Veronica Redly. I am Mrs. Mar's cousin. Though you might not think it, what with the talk that goes on. "
a tab, not the pop though! She raises an eyebrow and continues.
a tab, not the pop though! "I do not envy your job, you must make a difficult choice and you do not have the luxury of believing anything you are told"
a tab, not the pop though! Veronica leaves the room at a casual pace.

Mrs. Finch, I wonder if she likes peacocks?
a tab, not the pop though! You turn to look at the woman by the window. Just as you decide to leave, she turns to you.
a tab, not the pop though! "I am Mrs. Finch young man. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help but I have seen nothing of consequence today. The afternoon was boring chatter. As I waited for dinner I did have the delight of witnessing two firelies by the gazebo, but then the scream of Mrs. Mar brought everyone to the kitchen. Such going ons, my, my, my."
a tab, not the pop though! She turns back to the window with a slight sigh.
